Application Process

Please note: Grant applications are by invitation only and will no longer require the submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI).

Prior to Applying: Five Bridges Foundation updates funding priorities and grant cycle application dates each year. Please review the following:

Description of Application Process: Five Bridges Foundation uses an online system for our grantmaking including Grant Applications, Grant Agreements, and Grant Reports. We no longer accept proposals attached to e-mail messages or paper copies of any of these documents.

If you have been invited to apply, you will be able to access the Application form when you log onto our online grantmaking system; otherwise, you must first register to create an account (see below). For all questions, please send inquiries to fivebridges@msn.com.

Registration

  • Click on Create New Account.
  • Enter your personal contact information in the fields designated for the Primary Contact.
  • Enter the Organization information, including the contact information for the Chief Executive.
  • Click on the Proceed to Next Step Button.

Setting Password

  • After registering, you will be directed to the Set Password Page.
  • We recommend that you set the password to the last name of the primary contact for easy retention. All passwords are case sensitive, thus it is recommended that the password consist of all lower case characters.
  • Retype the password and click Save.
  • An e-mail with the Username and Password will be sent to the primary contact's e-mail address.

Changing Password

  • Logon to your account using your current information.
  • Click Edit Contact.
  • After entering the password, click Save.

Forgot Your Password?

  • Enter your User ID on the main registration page.
  • Click on Forgot Your Password button.
  • The system will send the password to your e-mail account.

Grant Application Submission Instructions

  • If this is your first visit to the site: after logging on, click on Five Bridges Application Process. It will take you to the Application page.
  • If your are a returning applicant: after logging on, click on Apply in the top left corner. It will take you to the Application page.
  • Answer all questions and note that required fields are denoted with an (*). You will receive an error message if you attempt to submit without answering required fields.
  • Pay close attention to the instructions and limitations on each question, since many have character limits. There are also megabyte limits placed on file upload questions.
  • Upon completion, select either Submit the Application or Save As Draft. When the Application is submitted, the form fields cannot be changed so take care to edit prior to submission. If you Save as Draft, see below (Checking the Status) for instructions on accessing the saved Application.
  • Once submitted, click Continue on the Confirmation Page to migrate to the Application Status Page.
  • You may check the status of your application from this page whenever you logon in the future.

Checking the Status

  • After logging on, click on Status in the upper left corner.
  • If you have already submitted the Application, its status will show in the box.
  • You may edit your contact information, view the Application and print it, but you may not make any edits if it has been submitted.
  • If you have not submitted the Application, you may continue to make edits on this page.
  • Applicants will be notified by e-mail regarding the final decisions of the Board of Directors.

Grant Cycle Dates

The following is our current Timetable  for Application submissions. As these dates will change from time to time, Applicants should check them periodically to ensure they are using the appropriate deadlines.
